Hi guys. Usually when you start up the launcher it tends to start up a "repair phase" which for some reason downloads or checks 85 bytes of data, which takes 2-10 seconds longer on launching the game. This is an easy fix for it. Do a "file check" in the launcher and wait for it to finish DONT launch the game Navigate to your game folder Standard: "'C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\BnS\bin'" Select local.ini file and right click into properties Make it Read-only Best regards /Lyncis
Also a little trick for the "verification" that the launcher does sometimes. Make an Exception for the NCwest folder in your Anti Virus Suit/Software. Because the Live Scan of any Anti Virus Software will scan the accessed files that the launcher tries to verify, so this at least doubles the time and slows the reading time. By creating that Exception the Virus Scan will ignore it. And the Reading speed will increase drastically. For me on an SSD with Virus scan enabled i had a reading of 3-4gb/s for the verification. (Though it took about 30-40 seconds to start the game then) With the exception i get about 60gb/s read speed, so it takes less than 10 seconds to get over the launcher. And it is very likely that we wont get a virus delivered by NCsoft updates to the game.
