Ok here's a thread. Wanted to share some of my Fighting game experience throughout my life. Hope you have a good read and maybe something in this post gives you some nostalgia? :)

    So, to begin!
    1)
4D boxing! (my first fighting boxing game) ever played in my life! Love it! Nostalgia ftw! I sat hours with this game only to beat it!

Favourite character? My own created character of course! Otherwise Paul Savage!

    2)
One of my favourite gaming soundtrack I know is from Internation karate - the game itself wasn't my favourite (C64 game that I played many years after release) but the game is still filled with nostalgia and this game made me and my brother do karate on eachother! (games doesn't affect children!)

    3)
Next up, the biggest fighting stage in Japan is the name? Do you know it?
    BUDOKAN
which was also the name of the this incredible game!

    4)
One must fall (also one of my first PC fighting games ever) - grow up with this shit and Loved it! The japanese mecha-style with various robots was just amazing for a young boy like me!

    Favourite character? Jaguar!

    5)
Then came Mortal Kombat! It was right at the time for me. Ninjas were so cool and monsters and magic! This game really made a huge impact for my childhood. Also, still enjoy it! If you think about it > Every fighting game has a pretty lame story, right? But think again... Mortal Kombat actually has a pretty decent story ::) .

and Yah, my favourite character was
    [IMG]
until they made him a 100 % lizard in the new mortal kombat games... which made me die alittle bit...

    6)
About the same time, I learnt the hard way of fighting genre and in secret learnt how to do a Hadouken on my father.
I think you know already what game I'm talking about.

What I really loved about Street Fighter was the characters. They were interesting and very look-alike the actionfigures I had as toys. I could definately combine my own plays with this game and I even "played Street fighter" with my friends outside the house, no not street fighting... more like playing in the woods pretending to be the characters! ;)
    Ok, favourite character was actually

    7)
After awhile when I was abit older I found out that 3D fighting games are pretty cool! This is when I found this game...

You gotta admit it got a freaky catchy music together with "sexy" and "awesome" characters? I don't know why but I had a thing for Sarah Bryant as a kid, thought she was übersexy! (kids perspective)!
But my favourite character in VF was Kage

Back in the game! Ninjas are cool!

    8)
Ok, didn't take long until I found out about Tekken! This is about the time I really enjoyed see different characters and I really like to compare things! Tekken was really good for that, soooo many characters to choose from!
Back in the days my favourite character was Hwoarang. Not only because the name was cool, but the looks of the character too! I wanted those googles!

    9) Other honorable mention is a game that maybe not everyone see as a fighter but it actually is! I'm speaking of Super Smash brothers. This nintendo game was so much fun to play 4 people during late nights (back then as kids when you slept over alot of friends at someones house when the parents were away. Alot of candy, pizza and non-healthy stuff and alot of Super smash brothers!

    10)
Oh, Hi! Are you still reading? Well, that's awesome! Next up is a game that really, REALLY made a huge impact on me! A fighting game with cool characters, awesome music and W E A P O N S!
Of course I'm talking about Soul Calibur. At some time, this was my favourite fighting game, but not today. The smooth, fast moves and various characters with weapons made this game Kickass cool!

(especially the 2nd game got so good music!!!)
My favourite character was Cervantes De Leon! DUAL BLADED PIRATE! Captain Lechu... chimp?

    11)
Lastly I found out about my favourite fighting game of all time!
This was about the age when I wanted alot of action, alot of speed and alot of cool characters (among them alot of pretty girls). What fighting game can offer this better then, Dead or Alive?
Even though I was alot older, I honestly came back to my "gotta love ninjas" once again.
    Favourite character was Ryu Hayabusa.

I thought I was so cool, playing this badass Ninja "Nin!" and what I honestly appreciate with dead or alive compare to other fighting games are the speed! It really feels like a crazy actionmovie!
Also got some heavy, cool music together with the crazy speed!

Also this game is still my favourite fighting game today. It still offers Ninjas, action, speed and good-looking characters. Ok you don't need to be a perv to admit that this game got the best looking guys and girls in a fighting game ;)

    12) So the games I'm looking forward to 2016 are Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5! It will be awesome!
But mostly atm I'm playing Dead or alive 5 Last Round on ps4, and sometimes Mortal Kombat X.

Hope you enjoyed the read! Took some time to write but it was fun to get a nostalgia trip! :)
