Notes from me & officers from the last guild meeting

Thanks everyone for coming to last sunday's guild meeting. Here are the results from today's officer meeting.

- Class teachers:
This -might- be a good idea. The problem there could be, is that a class teacher is going to be seen as someone who has better skill and knowledge then other members. But maybe those people should just shut up and accept a teacher's position if they showed their value? Or maybe there should be a teacher's competition to see who can take the role or task? We discussed this on teamspeak, but i'm not really sure yet if this is something we will have. Be sure to put your idea in a reply here:

- Public poll about a new officer:
Sounds like a plan, more details soon.

- Bad words on TS:
If words like "fuck" are used a couple of times thats totally fine, and in anger and frustration you can also use other words like cancer etc in teamspeak. But we want people to stop using these words in general conversations. For example "blade cancer" rhimes really well, but is not something i want people to continue to use. People might have had bad experiences with these deseases in the past, and as a social and respectful guild we should be careful using those words.

- Bad words channel:
If a person is caught too many times using these words we ask them to stop, if they still continue we can help them a hand by moving them to the "bad words" channel. This is now editted to be a 1-man channel where they can calm down or whatever.

- Dailies together at a pre-set time:
It has been brought up to do dailies (read: faction dailies) together at a pre-set time because our dear ceruleans have quite a bit of force in numbers and organisation. We are in the middle of this. Luthais says yes lets try it, Kiimse is against it and i dont know. If we do this, it does mean we are quite a force to recon with, we have fun doing this and make for a bit of guild reputation because all the random people will notice us. But there is quite a big disadvantage here, wich is that people who cannot be there at that time- will always miss on these dailies. And most guildies will wait to do dailies together making those people who cannot make it at the pre-set time alone... And probaly feel excluded.

- Lottery:
Kaisia raised a idea to organise a guild lottery. While people are obviously always free to organise their own events, i am not too exited yet about this. Personally i hate RNG and to put money together to have a RNG change to win it all is...meh. Kaisia had more notes that 20% of the prize pool could be put into the guild bank to evolve our guild, and that we could have multiple winners etc. But the way i am imagining it, is that its just not something fun to do! After everyone paid their money for those who want to participate and i go to random.org to select the winner he gets it all. small applause on TS and some trolls and frustration and we continue with the average BnS day. I would maybe like this lottery idea if we could make some more exitement into it. That it lasts a while and that people have a reason to play. Not just for winning gold but having fun.

- Other name for the "bad words" channel:
If you want a different name for the bad words channel then give us a poll with about 5 suggestions. As you have seen above: It is not going to be used as a channel where multiple people can join to use bad words together. If we allow this, then the people who prefer to not use these words too much will be seperated from the rest, if even by a tiny bit. We do not want that to happen.

- Other points that were missed:
As you may remember, the notes i made at last officer meeting were lost. So some points might not be included here in this post. If you recall something that was said that i would discuss with officers please PM me or poke me on TS.

Playing other games while playing blade and soul and talking in the channel about the other game, it can be ok but not when other people are trying to focus on a dungeon or anything else, its after all blade and soul we are playing and there is another channel on TS for it as well: other games

If you are with group in public channel and trying to focuss on dungeon.. well. change channel. so you dont get disturbed.

yes. But this is not always the case. Something's its just hanging out but with too many people on the same channel ^^

I think dailies at a set time are a very good idea. This will help people that struggle to get groups as they are online at irregular times and aren't, like others, able to do dailies in the morning. We (generally) need to do more organized events as a guild, even if it is just dailies. (*)

Class teachers? I'm not entirely sure this is necessary at all. There will always be people to gain knowledge from in the Clan, and not just about your class. I'd be more in favour of having 'Class meetings', where everyone of a particular class can have a meeting at a set time (every week?) where you can openly discuss your class and any questions you have.

Guild Lottery? w/e.

Bad words? Fuck off! But I DO get frustrated with the word 'cancer' in particular being used so regularly.

I would add, as I wasn't at the meeting, that I worry about the guild structure given the release of BD and people having an interest in playing it. I, for now, don't have any interest in it and I want to know there will be a solid structure that remains in place when BD opens. It also kind of worries me that there may be 30+ ppl on TS talking and playing B&S and another 30+ talking and playing BD, with people flittering between the two. This wouldn't be as much of a concern if we knew our officers (of which we need more) are committed to B&S.

(*) Following up on guild events, I think that there should be significantly more of these that benefit and progress our members. For example Blackwyrm and Terror farming. Currently there are zero guilds on Crimson that are recognized (like Codex on Cerulean) for initiating these type of events where players in our Faction can tag along. We can be that guild and be recognized for it, which can only be a good thing.

There are around ~3-5 people interested in black desert and have no idea if its going to be a replacement to blade & soul. The playerbase for black desert will be a new one in general. the officers have shown no interest in black desert. me? i dont know if black desert or BnS is gonna get more of my attention. Not the vaguest idea. But i do know that i wont leave guildies behind. Even if black desert will be my main game, i will still keep an eye on BnS for sure. But please dont dicuss this more in this topic since this is about BnS. Feel free to make a topic if you still have some concerns

I know about bad words that especially brittish people have this in their culture (or something like that ) but yeah, just try to keep it in mind please.
