Maybe I'm the only one who noticed this. Since last week I'm having a very bad experience in the guild. The speaking style has radically changed on Team Speak as well as in guild chat.
'Talkingu andu writingu likeu thisu wholeu dayu longu canu beu reallyu annoyingu.'
I don't know exactly who started it and why but I know there are people purposely doing it and some are just going along with the 'fun'.

For the past few days every time I visited a Team Speak channel with more than a handful people I got serious headache. This is seriously an issue for me although I know we "can't tell people how to talk" and if it comes to that I will leave the guild over this because being in a 'social guild' with people I can't stand being around is a no-go for me.

Although I was planning to make my point during the guild meeting yesterday, I decided not to do it because I find this a delicate issue I didn't want to discuss there. I'd like to point out I don't have a solid solution for this problem of mine. (aside from the one below)

Furthermore I reserve the right to block in-game and mute on TS anyone who bothers me whatever icon is by their name on TS.

i agree that it was also a bit too much for me lately. just like with bad words, its fun and giggles for some time but there should be a limit. IMO you should NOT mute them though, that will only cause frustration later. Just let them know on TS...?

I keep letting them know on TS as well as in guild chat but the answer usually goes like this: "desu esu esu desu" which not only makes no sense but also very impolite when I ask them to stop in a normal tone.

You are probably right I shouldn't mute them since I can still avoid joining in channels with them but that leads nowhere for me.

i will note it to officers. but this should be a two way street. accept the troll and fun behavior and dont get annoyed that much. The others on the other hand should calm this "uuuuu' thing a bit down.

Sounds a bit annoying to be honest. Too much of anything can make you sick.

Well, it all start from the SS skill where you can skip doors by just using SS, and then it goes to "esuesu" which you probably know by now.
I mean.. you could always leave the channel if you don't like to hear it right.... and when there is a lot of people on the channel the other would probably join and the end everyone will be there... Which always happens
I'll do it myself just for fun and I don't really mind about it.

There are a few issues that you're missing here.

Recently I've been spamming BSH4 with guild members and we spend time in another channel other than Chillout Planet because that's the main channel for chilling, if you will. Now, the issue is that for whatever reason people think it's O.K. to join the channel we're in and talk while we're in middle of something. Most of the time we ignore it or ask people to leave however some people cannot understand that. If we're in another channel with our party doing something as boring as BSH4, we might as well make it fun for ourselves and this is how we do it. This is how we can enjoy ourselves. BSH4 is not the only boring thing we do, Lin and I personally do every single boring thing out there in the game and help a lot of people to finish their quests and dailies. If we don't make things fun for ourselves then what's the point of playing this game? Our lives don't revolve around this game but rather this game is a part of our lives. It's a bloody game after all innit?

I don't understand why people keep joining our channels while we're in middle of something... For the past few days every single PvE channel we've been to ended up being the channel with most members online and everyone kept joining that one channel until we moved out because they were not willing to. This led to me and Luthais complaining about the number of people allowed in PvE channels, hence the 6 member channels in TS.

You can't join a channel and complain about what people say or do in that channel you know?

Chillout Planet is technically the main talking channel, so when I'm not doing anything I would be sitting there. However at the same time I don't do this in there ( I can only speak for myself and not the others who use the same speech. ) unless it's just once to make a witty comment to be funny. The whole thing with the 'U's happen in other channels or personally I'd rather keep it out of the main channel. I'm mostly serious in the main channel and other people can confirm this as we've had plenty of serious and mature conversations without this kind of speech being involved.

Long story short, please stop joining the PvE channels people are in because they're most likely doing a dungeon and trying to get things done and mainly have fun. I always go to another channel and take whomever I'm in a party with and we all try to keep things interesting for ourselves.

P.S. As for the BSH6 run you were in with us tonight, you didn't say a single word like "please stop" and if you did I didn't hear because I was sending something for my university for half of the run so I was still at the entrance. But considering others were still talking in the same manner then I assume you didn't say anything, if you did and it got ignored I apologise on the behalf of my party.

I do think a channel should be open to anyone exept for when the dungeon really requires some concentration. Then when its open, it should be enjoyable for everyone. Because every member should be able to go with those runs and therefore will be in that channel in some point.
But this whole guild should be respectable and social, and therefore when someone asks to stop in a whatever channel, that we should respect that and tone down a little. not nessacary stop, but at least make it happen less- unless they are in a dungeon that requires their concentration.

I understand caolite's frustration with this because its just overused sometimes. THAT gets annoying. alot of jokes get annoying when they get overused.

From what I've seen personally (and participating in esu esu shenanigans), we've only ever done it when:
    a) We are PvEing and in another channel
    b) We are gathering people for dailies/faction.

Never have we purposely done it during a general conversation in 'chillout planet' or when we've got alot of people in a specific channel.
Also, in response to those who complain about us not listening when we have been asked to stop, we simply moved channel when we did that. I understand that it can be annoying for some people and nothings wrong with that but what harm can saying 'plusuu in the chat for faction dailies' really do? Gaming should be an enjoyable past time in which we can have our funny immature moments, not something so serious that we have to talk properly and be civil 100%.

That being said we are all adults here and capable of using the 'lower volume' tool as common sense would dictate on some individuals should they be annoying. (Even though Koni said not to, sometimes it is the better temporary fix rather than start raging)

I agree with you Yuni..We r who we r,and I know that here we have an different types of FUNNY..What is funny to me,it is not funny for most of the ppl.Not everyone is he same. I am sure that we haven't done this ESU ESU purposely just to cause problems and to annoy people. ITS MY KIND OF FUN.I also used to sing Mario song on ts,but when ppl have told me to stop, I was silent but I have never did it to annoy someone. This is not an serious thing, this can b easily solved by talking to ppl,or moving in separate ch.I dont see why this requires an attention on forum. We have more impprtant things to do about the guild. At least we r not talking trash and being rude to ppl.Yes, this is annoying to some ppl. Some other things r annoying for me,but i deal it easy...get my point: )

And I was told we are supposed to talk about our problems. Sorry to hear you just don't care about it, Vanai. On the other hand you failed to present your more important problems.

@toodi I was briefly talking on '/say' chat. I didn't realize you were not close enough to read it.

I will just take a break from TeamSpeak hoping this irrelevant problem of mine will be resolved by the time.

I haven't said that i dont care about it. I just said that this is how I am. When you have an problems you speak with leader and so. I had an problem and I was speaking with an officers on ts. I just said that this could have been solved by talking in private like an professional way of dealing with things.

I don't see a problem, all I see is drama.
Things like these are like memes, they get overused for a period and then die down and are rarely used again.
The more attention you give it, the longer it will last.

I have to agree with Caolite that the "adding a U" to at least every sentence has been overdone during the course of the last 7 days at least.
At the beginning it was fun but too much usage of it starts to get annoying. (It starts feeling like you go into a Kindergarten room full of little childs that do not know how to talk any better).
Everyday i joined ts there was the usage of it, and you might know i don't say much. But thats just me because i am used to stay quiet when i dont have to say anything.

However i guess we all can come to the conclusion to lower the usage of "U" pleasu guysu.

    1) i hate being in a channel where there are 30 people talking about 5 different things.
    2) altho i would run anything with anyone in the guild i do prioritize some members over others - sorry dungeons have limited party size and i have limited time
    3) If "esudesuesuesu" people wanna talk like that in the other channel but people keep following them i'd say it's their own fault and they have no right to complain

Just my opinion and reasoning. Also this topic is bullshit, grow up and talk to eachother face to face - we have the means for it don't we?

As someone who is not particularly for or against this, I have a few points to address:

    1. Like @Vend pointed out, I dislike being in a channel where too many people start talking at the same time about different things, so I left the channel.
    2. I don't particularly hate the eusudesu, I just keep an open mind that people enjoy different things, and if I am not having headache or needing concentration, I hangout with them.
    3. When I do, I just simply enter a different channel.
    4. About this topic owner, it was me who suggested him to join our TS when I asked him to help running BSH. He did not respond to that, so I figured that he'd prefer staying there. It's alright until everyone is being moved to the same channel for officer's announcement. I'll say it's bad timing because we all know what to do. And it's quite late, it's unfortunate that it gets caught on the bad sides.

Overall, I think it's not that big of a deal. Although continuing the separation between "eusudesu group" and "non eusudesu group" will divide to small groups of people, but I suppose it's unavoidable in any community.

So far, I don't have a problem with it, and I don't think it's necessary to drag the drama between us.
